This is my Top 5 American League Pitchers
All and any videos and photos go to their owners.

1. Felix Hernandez- Known as the King and having his own section named ¨Kings Court¨, Felix Hernandez is regraded as one of the best pitchers in Major League Baseball. He is known for throwing the only perfect game in Mariners history. He has been selected for numerous all star games including the 2014 All Star Game.

2. Masahiro Tanaka- A great Japanese Yankee rookie, Masahiro Tanaka is going to have an amazing career in MLB. In 2014, he went 15-12 with a 2.23 ERA. He did have a small stint on the DL for 15 days but still returned with fire. He was selected for the 2014 All Star Game and he did great.

3. Jered Weaver- Known for his no-hitter in 2011, Jered Weaver is the Number 1. pitcher in the Angels organization. In 2014, he went 15-6 with a 1.78 ERA over 20 starts. Now, obviously he hasn't been the kind of pitcher since his no-hitter years ago, but he is still an amazing pitcher in the Major League. He was selected for his fourth all star game and he did great yet again.

4. Justin Verlander- Known for being the faces of pitchers in Major League Baseball, Justin Verlander is a great pitcher for The Detroit Tigers. Even thought he hasn't been the type of Verlander we have seen over the years, he is still in the top 10 list in MLB. In 2014, he went 19-11 with only 1 complete game in 35 starts.

5. James Shields- OK, so here is what I did. This guy is an amazing pitcher, but since he is a free agent and might get traded to a National League team, that is why I put James Shields at at a low spot, in this case, Number 5. Known as ¨Big Game James¨, James Shields is an amazing pitcher for the AL Champions Kansas City Royals. He had a great regular season but not such a great postseason. Either way, he is still one of the best pitchers in Kansas City Royals History.

Update- James Shields has been traded to The San Diego Padres and is officially now a National League Pitcher.
