Top 5 Pitchers of the National League

This is my Top 5 National League Pitchers.

1. Clayton Kershaw- Known for throwing a no-hitter in 2014, Clayton Kershaw is an amazing player. In 2014, he had an insane record of 21 wins and only 3 losses. He had an amazing first half and was a no doubter for the all star game. He also had a great second half too. He didn't do well in the postseason though. He had 0 wins and 3 losses. He is still though an amazing pitcher and player.



2. Madison Bumgarner- Named The 2014 NLCS and The World Series MVP and nicknamed ¨Mad Bum¨, Madison Bumgarner is probably the best pitcher in Major League Baseball. He is known for his wicked side-arm pitch and for winning 2 games and getting a save in The 2014 World Series.











3. Jose Fernandez- Returning in 2015 from Tommy John Surgery as a part of the Miami Marlins, Jose Fernandez is an amazing pitcher with a great future. In 2013, ( He didn't play for much of 2014.), he won 18 games and lost only 5 for an amazing rookie season and he was on his way towards his First Cy Young Award and Rookie of the Year. He will have an amazing future in Major League Baseball.





4. Jon Lester- Recently signed with The Chicago Cubs, Jon Lester was an amazing pitcher with The American League, Oakland Athletics, in 2014. In 2014, he went 20-8 and was selected for his 3rd all star game. He had an amazing 2014 and has had an amazing career. He has played with two, soon to be three teams, The Boston Red Sox, The Oakland Athletics and soon, The Chicago Cubs.







Image result for patrick corbin5. Patrick Corbin- Returning to 2015 from Tommy John Surgery, Patrick Corbin is the ace in the Arizona Diamondbacks Rotation. With him returning back, he and number 1 starter in the rotation, Josh Collmenter, will be winning a lot of games. In 2013, ( He only played spring training in 2014.), he had the     3rd best record in The National League Rookie Ranks. He went 19-4 with a 1.54 ERA in 34 starts.

Top 5 National League Baseball Players

This is my Top 5 National League Players.

1. Gincarlo Stanton- The runner up in 2014 National League MVP voting, Gincarlo Stanton is probably the best player in Major League Baseball in 2014. He hit almost 40 home runs and 120 RBI s. His season was cut short however, when he was hit in the face by a 92 mph fastball in Milwaukee and had to be taken off the field by cart. He ended up having season ending facial surgery to repair broken jaw bones, a broken nose and numerous small fractures in his cheek and face. 2. Madison Bumgarner- Known for being The 2014 NLCS and The 2014  World Series MVP and for having and wicked side-arm pitch and being called ¨Mad Bum¨, Madison Bumgarner is was a very amazing pitcher in 2014. He pitched in three games in the 2014 World Series and he got two wins and a save. He did an absolute amazing job in that world series. In the regular season, he went 21 and 8 with over 200 strikeouts. He also hit two grand slams less than two months apart.


3. Paul Goldschmidt- Also called ¨Goldy¨, Paul Goldschmidt is a great power hitter and a great defensive men. In 2014, he hit almost 20 home runs and 100 RBI s. However, for being hit on the hand by the pitch by Pittsburgh Pirates Ernesto Fieri, Goldschmidt ended up needing to have season-ending hand surgery. He had amazing catches and diving stops while playing at first base. He was in a spot for the 2014 Home Run Derby, but he decided not to be. Instead, he was the starting first basemen in the all star game with his teammate now new Chicago Cub, Miguel Montero. In the last year, he hit a double in the 2013 All Star Game, but he didn't get a hit in the 2014 game.

4. Justin Upton- Recently signed with The San Diego Padres, Justin Upton is a 5-tool player. He has great speed, power, agility, fielding and hitting for average. He has played for two different clubs besides the Padres, The Arizona Diamondbacks and The Atlanta Braves. He has been selected to two all star games in 2009 and 2011 in St Louis and in Arizona. He got a double and scored on a home run in arizona.








5. Anthony Rizzo- A 2-time all star and home run smasher, Anthony Rizzo is the new young face of the Chicago Cubs. He started his career as a rookie for the Boston Red Sox, he was great until he learned he got Hutchinson Lehomea. Everybody thought that he could never play baseball again, but he proved them all wrong. He ended up being traded to the San Diego Padres in 2009 and got his first Major League Hit and Home Run. He then was traded to the Chicago Cubs in 2010. Then, he became a an automatic superstar of the old ball club. Also, thanks to his foundation, he is raising money for kids and families that either have had someone or have someone that has Lehomea. In 2014, he hit over 30 home runs and got over 100 RBI s and was selected for his second all star game in two years.









Top 5 American League Baseball Players

Hi guys I am Jared for those who don't know me. This is my very first blog and I am doing about something I love, baseball.
I hope you all enjoy my top 5 list of players in the American League of Major League Baseball.

1. Mike Trout- A 2-time all star, one time All Star MVP, 2011 American Rookie of the Year and The 2014 American League MVP, Mike Trout is known for his great power, speed and agility. He hit 36 home runs in 2014 and he got over 110 hits and 111 RBI s. He was a no doubter for the all-star team and did great in his second appearance. He hit a triple and a double, got two RBI s and won The All Star Game MVP honors. He is know for his amazing catches like this. He will have an amazing future in the Major League.

2. Jose Abreu-  A rookie from Cuba, Jose Abreu signed with The Chicago White Sox in 2013. He played his first game all Chicago Sox fans knew he would go far. He hit 36 home runs and 106 RBI s and was selected for his first All Star Game. He didn't get a hit in The All Star Game but he did really good for his first game. He was selected and won 2014 American League Rookie of The Year. He is another amazing player with an amazing future.



3. Derek Jeter- A 5-time champion and 14-time all star, Derek Jeter has had an amazing career with The New York Yankees. He has almost 3,500 hits and is the all-time Yankees leader in hits, RBI s, games played, singles, doubles and stolen bases. He has retired from the game in 2014 holding an amazing legacy behind as a great player and role model for other players. In his last game at Yankee Stadium, he got 2 hits and 2 RBI s and, he got the walk-off game winning single, ending his legacy on a high note.




  4. Miguel Cabrera- The only Triple Crown Winner of the 2010's, Miguel Cabrera is an absolute power house. He started playing for The Florida Marlins then got traded to The Detroit Tigers. He is regraded as one of the best players in MLB. He has had some in injures over the years, but is still one of the best players. He hit over 20 home runs in 2014 and hit over 90 RBI s. He was selected for The 2014 All Star Game and did amazing. He hit a home run and a single, got two RBI s and walked. He is an amazing player and is going to finish out his career great too.

5. Felix Hernandez- Known as the King and having his own section named ¨Kings Court¨, Felix Hernandez is regraded as one of the best pitchers in Major League Baseball. He is known for throwing the only perfect game in Mariners history. He has been selected for numerous all star games including the 2014 All Star Game.
